Brooklyn Nets head coach Jason Kidd brushed off a Yahoo! Sports report that he’d lost support in the team locker room, alleging that the report was a fabrication.

“I just coach and get my guys ready,” Kidd shrugged, flashing a smile at the podium following the team’s 104-93 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks. “I can’t answer to what you guys make up. I’m sorry. I don’t have an answer to that question.”

Yahoo! cited team sources that indicated a fracture in the Nets locker room as the Nets sputtered out to a 9-19 start, but players backed Kidd in their meetings with the media following the victory.

“Jason’s been talking with me and the coaching staff has been talking with me,” Shaun Livingston said after putting up 20 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds in the win. “It’s an up-and-down season, the hardest thing to do is to stay consistent.”

Deron Williams, Kevin Garnett, and Mirza Teletovic also had words of encouragement and backing for Kidd, though Garnett acknowledged that keeping a locker room together takes work. “(We’re) trying to work through what Jason wants us to do. It’s not easy at times, but we’ve been trying to be consistent with listening and being positive.”
