Brooklyn Nets Free Agency Primer 2018-19: Shooting Guards

Full disclosure: The Nets are extremely packed at the wings. I say wings because Brooklyn has all these guys playing combo guard, shooting guard-small forward, or in Caris LeVert's case, point guard-shooting guard-small forward. Yeah, all that jazz.

In terms of shooting guards then, who the Nets end up pursuing in free agency will depend a lot on their own roster decisions. After all, you can't add something without subtracting something.
Additionally, Brooklyn has one free agency decision to make in terms of shooting guards — Joe Harris is on the market as an unrestricted free agent. "Joey Buckets" had an excellent year with the Nets in a mostly-reserve role, so he should be valuable to Brooklyn. Still, it's only reasonable to assume Harris will garner a lot of attention from teams looking to add a sharpshooter with a rather impressive defensive skill-set.

Other than the Nets' own Harris, there are a lot of interesting names on the market for shooting guards. Spoiler alert: Some of them might ring a bell from the Nets' failures last summer.

No, Dwyane Wade is not on this list.
