I’m surprised Jason Terry didn’t play more tonight with Deron Williams out, as the Nets floundered at times running the Alan Anderson Project as de facto point guard. But he couldn’t hit anything, so maybe it’s a good thing he didn’t.
He filled the stat sheet, but he didn’t score in the fourth quarter and didn’t play in crunch time until the fouling hour.
Livingston was in top form, creating for the offense and hitting an assortment of midrange jumpers. He kept the offense moving with Williams out; maybe he’s got his endurance back after Deron came back for a couple weeks. He also had a big block on a Kyle Korver jumper late in the fourth quarter.
Andrei Kirilenko continues to be the man. Possibly equipped with a cyborg exoskeleton.
He was totally absent on offense (yet again), but he showed signs of being the defensive general he was for all those years in Boston.
Alan Anderson believes he’s better than he is. When he realizes he’s not, he’s a good rotation player.
He was the general down the stretch, hitting a few jumpers and sealing the game late with two free throws. He took 20 shots for only the second time all season, with the other game his outburst against Philadelphia.
He was mostly a nonfactor. His minutes went to Reggie Evans in the second half after he picked up his fourth foul, save for 25 seconds to end the game.
He had a trademark Reggie Evans stretch in the third and fourth quarters, snagging big rebounds and playing serviceable defense.
