After undergoing successful surgery on his right thumb, Brooklyn Nets center Willie Reed is expected to be out six to eight weeks, the team announced today.
Reed first suffered the injury during the team’s preseason game Wednesday against the Boston Celtics. It was officially ruled a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right thumb.
A six-to-eight week timetable would peg Reed’s return in the first half of December. Reed has yet to play in an NBA game.
