Joe Cool does it again.
Brooklyn Nets shooting guard Joe Johnson had shot poorly throughout the night, shooting just 3-14 at one point in the game, but tied the game in regulation at 92 with 29 seconds left, and in overtime, hit the game-winning floater as time ran out.
This was a different game-winner than the one we’re accustomed to with Johnson. Johnson hit all four game-winners last season in a half-court set; Johnson hit that shot in transition after getting a rebound tapped out to him by Kevin Garnett, then playing the time perfectly. You’ll even see Johnson hesitate, just for a moment, on his way down the floor to play the clock perfectly before flipping in the floater.
Joe Johnson, man. Maybe he really is a machine.
