Gerald Wallace hit the floor hard after a foul by P.J. Tucker on a fast-break dunk attempt. The foul, originally ruled a flagrant-1, was reduced to a “common” foul after review. Wallace did not take his free throws, and since the foul was not ruled a flagrant, per NBA rules he is not allowed to return to the game.
According to the Nets, Wallace has bruised ribs. X-rays came back negative.
