While Andrei Kirilenko sat out for his third consecutive practice to rest his sore back, his Russian teammate joined him on the sidelines.
Nets forward Sergey Karasev sat out of Wednesday’s Nets practice, officially listed with a “sore right foot.” Karasev said he had a blister on his foot that got infected. “It was getting better, because before training camp, it was really bad. Then it started getting better, (and) now it got a little bit infected again.”
The Nets acquired Karasev in July in a three-team trade that also sent Jarrett Jack to the Nets, and cleared enough cap room for the Cavaliers to sign LeBron James to a maximum contract.
Karasev did not expect the injury to keep him out long and expects to play in the team’s practice tomorrow.
