Nets rookie Rondae Hollis-Jefferson will make his first career start Friday night against the Los Angeles Lakers, Lionel Hollins announced before the game.
Hollins declined to go into the thought process that led him to starting Hollis-Jefferson over Markel Brown, who has started the last two games, Wayne Ellington, the starter at the beginning of the season, or Bojan Bogdanovic, the starter for most of last season.
Hollis-Jefferson has played 79 minutes in the team’s first five games, but has only played 16 in the past two.
