The Brooklyn Nets have approached Euroleague point guard Malcolm Delaney, as first reported by Eurohoops. Any specific details are not yet known, however.
Delaney played basketball for the Virginia Tech Hokies from 2007-2011. After going undrafted, Delaney went on to have a very successful career in Europe and is currently one of the best players overseas. At 27 years-old, Delaney currently plays for Euroleague’s Lokomotiv, where he averaged 15.8 points and 5.7 assists per game on .390 3-point shooting this past season.
The Nets are not the only team interested in Delaney and the Houston Rockets have also reached out to him.
While no moves have been officially announced yet, Eurohoops reports that Mikhail Prokhorov and Assistant GM Trajan Langdon were courtside for Delaney’s game Friday, where Lokomotiv was beaten by CSKA Moskow.
