Day two of the Gerald Wallace experiment begins tonight at the Rock at 7:30. Today should be an interesting contest between the Nets and the Cavs. New Jersey has essentially admitted they don’t stand much of a shot at the playoffs this year — Deron Williams quoted as to saying we probably would have made it had everyone stayed healthy. The Nets and the Cavs both stand in similar situations in which games like tonight’s are crucial in maintaining any hope of getting to the postseason. Both of these teams are likely looking at this game as one they should win, so all will be dependent upon who can shut down the other.
The big match up going tonight is clearly Deron Williams and Kyrie Irving and will probably the big takeaway from the game. I am also looking forward to seeing what the Geralds do and I expect a more relaxed style out of Gerald Green, having been signed on the rest of the year.
Enjoy the game, folks! Let’s go Nets!
