In case you’ve been living under a rock the past few weeks, tonight is the last ever home game the Nets will play in New Jersey. They are going against the 76ers, who have lost to the Nets in two of the three games this season. The Nets will again be without Deron Williams, who looks to have ended his New Jersey tenure a little early.
Tonight, however, is much more about honoring the past rather than watching the present. The Nets have apparently planned some video tributes of the past thirty-five years, as well as some appearances by Nets greats, such as Kerry Kittles and Derrick Coleman. One can only hope they will show these on TV for those of us who will not be able to be in attendance.
So, as a pre-game thread, instead of listing stats and injury reports, I encourage you all to read through Nets Are Scorching’s main page. Check out my column on growing up as a Nets fan, the 5-on-5 featuring our creator, Sebastian Pruiti, and tweet out some of your favorite #NetsMemories.
Let’s win one more in Jersey!
