After swatting Nets forward Paul Pierce’s layup attempt off the backboard, Washington Wizards forward Trevor Booker let out a primal, exaggerated yell that drew Pierce’s ire. In retaliation, Pierce went back at Booker shortly afterwards, hitting a layup and mock-screaming back at Booker. Pierce then spent the rest of the quarter yelling on defense in exaggerated tones.
I love a world where Paul Pierce takes the slightest indignation to a player screaming and just uses the rest of the quarter to both taunt the opponent and play fundamental basketball. Well done, Pierce.
