Pacers forward Paul George will miss tonight’s game against the Charlotte Bobcats and his status for tomorrow’s game in Brooklyn against the Brooklyn Nets is uncertain, the Pacers director of media relations announced today.
George is arguably the Pacers’ best player, averaging 16.9 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.6 steals in 36.6 minutes per game. He is a major part of Indiana’s league-best defense, and ranks second on the team in PER & effective field goal percentage. George has shot 64% from the field and 56% from deep in seven games against the Nets, though never against Brooklyn.
This would come as welcome news to the Nets, who will be without starting forward Gerald Wallace with bruised ribs, and may also be down Deron Williams with a quad contusion.
