The Brooklyn Nets will hire Adam Harrington as the team’s new shooting coach, reports David Aldridge. Harrington used to be the shooting coach of the Oklahoma City Thunder and Kevin Durant’s personal trainer. He is expected to replace Nurse on Brooklyn’s staff.

After spending half a season as a shooting coach for the Brooklyn Nets, David Nurse will officially be on the open market, reports HoopsHype.

Nurse, who joined the organization in January, helped turn around a terrible shooting Nets team. In fact, the Nets led the league in 3-point shooting in February and March, much to the credit of Nurse and interim head coach Tony Brown’s attempt at an uptempo offense.

Aside from the shooting woes, Nurse worked closely with Rondae Hollis-Jefferson throughout the season as his form was the former Arizona Wildcats’ greatest demerit out of college. Hollis-Jefferson missed 50 games with an ankle injury, but returned with a renewed confidence in his jump shot.

Nurse is a former writer for HoopsHabit and should be a valuable addition to whatever organization he lands with next.
