The Brooklyn Nets have waived Jorge Gutierrez, Chris Johnson, and Adonis Thomas, the only three players left on their training camp roster with non-guaranteed contracts, and officially set their roster at fifteen players.
Gutierrez and Johnson had been with the team since training camp, and will most likely return to their original D-League affiliates — Gutierrez with the Canton Charge, Johnson with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.
The Nets signed Thomas last week after waiving Gary Forbes, presumably to gain his D-League rights. He can still be allocated to Springfield as an “affiliate player,” should he choose to join the D-League. He did not appear in any preseason games.
