A tweet from Pat Connaughton, a Notre Dame guard the Nets will work out Monday.
The Brooklyn Nets have scheduled one final pre-draft workout, and it’s one of the stronger fields of the bunch. Per the team:
Olivier Hanlan | G | Boston College | 6’4″ | 190 |
Andrew Harrison | G | Kentucky | 6’6″ | 210 |
Sam Thompson | F | Ohio State | 6’7″ | 200 |
Pat Connaughton | F | Notre Dame | 6’5″ | 214 |
Branden Dawson | F | Michigan State | 6’6″ | 225 |
Cliff Alexander | F | Kansas | 6’8″ | 240 |
Billy King will also be made available to the media.
Alexander, Connaughton, Hanlan, and Harrison are all projected to go in the second round, per DraftExpress’s latest mock draft. That mock currently has the Nets selecting Terry Rozier with the 29th pick and Christian Wood 41st. The Nets worked out Rozier in their first set of workouts.
If all six players show up, the Nets will have officially worked out close to 60 players. But that doesn’t mean they know who they’re taking. Only one of the three players the Nets drafted last year actually worked out for them, and that was Xavier Thames, who they stashed overseas for a year. The year before? The Nets drafted Mason Plumlee, who they didn’t work out either.
