Nets players react to All-Star snubbery

After hearing last night that the 26-16 Brooklyn Nets, third in the Eastern Conference and one game behind the New York Knicks for the division lead, ended up with a grand total of zero players voted in by coaches to the All-Star game, the Nets seemed more bemused from their quotes than anything.

“Coaches must just feel that our chemistry is unbelievable, because we’re winning these games with limited talent,” P.J. Carlesimo deadpanned (h/t Zach Schonbrun of the New York Times).

Brook Lopez was the biggest snub for the Nets, who also had potential All-Stars in Deron Williams and Joe Johnson.

“I was a little disappointed there was no one from our team at all,” Lopez said. “It’s tough for me to envision.”

“I just thought (Brook) should’ve made it. … We hurt for him,” point guard Deron Williams added.
