Nets assistant coach Charles Klask, who worked under Lawrence Frank when Frank was the coach of the Detroit Pistons, will re-join the Pistons franchise to work under new Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy, according to a report from Vincent Goodwill of the Detroit Free Press. Klask also worked under Van Gundy when Van Gundy coached the Orlando Magic.
Klask was the statistical analyst in Kidd’s ranks, moving off the bench as the season progressed and into an advanced scouting role.
Kidd has numerous assistant coaches on his staff, and may not seek a replacement.
