This game could not have ended any worse if the team decided as a whole to retire midway through the fourth quarter.
An ugly loss marked by ineffective interior defense, a barrage of Pelicans threes, and brutal injuries to Alan Anderson, Markel Brown, and Sergey Karasev, the latter of which may be done for the year after an ugly knee injury.
Very few positives — if any — to take from this game.
Brook Lopez
B-
Brilliant attacking the paint early, rolling to the rim and driving for easy shots inside even with Omer Asik & Anthony Davis roaming the paint, and finished through traffic:
It’s been mentioned before, but he is noticeably more aggressive getting into the lane on offense, both for rebounds and easy diving looks. But Lopez, like the rest of the team, struggled after his hot start.
