Ugly for 48 minutes, but the Nets finally did the job they were meant to do, and put away a less talented team down the stretch. The 76ers might be on the fast-track to record losses, but they’ve still competed with other NBA teams over the past month, and even held a fourth-quarter lead against the Nets the last time these two teams played.
But the Nets ran their offense to (not through) their bigs, getting easy dunks and bottling up what was an effective first-half 76ers outside attack.
Not exactly an awe-inspiring win that’ll silence the doubters, but a win’s a win, and they’ll take one headed on the road tomorrow.
