Some unknown fan took a meme that has run around the internet today, printed it, and posted it on a pole that stands on Atlantic Avenue across from the Atlantic Mall in front of Barclays Center.
The poster says “MISSING: Have you seen this person?” with a photo of Deron Williams, a date of birth, age, height, weight, an identifying characteristic (“Messed up tattoo on right arm”), Last seen (“Getting a legendary coach fired in Salt Lake City”), a reward for the remainder of Williams’s salary, and a contact for Billy King, Nets general manager.
It’s a testament to how some fans feel about Williams, who has come up short in some big moments for the Nets in this postseason. That’s New York for you.
