Center Mason Plumlee may be the most athletic player on the Nets. Even though his wingspan is actually shorter than his height, a rarity in the NBA, Plumlee’s 36″ vertical is impressive for a seven-footer and it helps him throw it down with authority. In the first quarter against the Toronto Raptors, Plumlee was at it again, throwing down emphatic dunks on back-to-back possessions. The rookie Plumlee was the first player off the bench for the Nets. Not bad for someone who was supposed to spend most of the year in the D-League, though his success is indicative of Brooklyn’s struggles.
