Brooklyn Nets forward Joe Johnson will start against the Memphis Grizzlies Saturday night after the team listed him as questionable with a bruised right hand. Johnson bruised the hand Friday night against the San Antonio Spurs, and iced the hand on the bench at the end of the game.
Markel Brown will also return to the starting lineup, replacing Wayne Ellington. Ellington, who entered the season a career 38.2 percent three-point shooter, has struggled to start the season, hitting just one shot in the first two games.
Brown last started in Game 1 of the team’s playoff matchup against the Atlanta Hawks, in which Hollins referred to Brown as a starter in name only. Bojan Bogdanovic ended up playing the majority of minutes at shooting guard.
Johnson and Brown join Jarrett Jack, Thaddeus Young, and Brook Lopez in the starting lineup.
