Brooklyn Nets guards Markel Brown and Alan Anderson are both listed as doubtful for Wednesday night’s game against the Miami Heat after suffering injuries in Tuesday night’s game, the team announced. Brown, who twisted his ankle on an awkward fall in the third quarter against the New Orleans Pelicans and did not return, had started in the previous nine games. Anderson, who took a hard fall driving to the basket in the first half, had recently returned to the bench after a 16-game stretch in the starting lineup.
The Nets also ruled Sergey Karasev officially out as a formality. Karasev suffered a gruesome-looking knee injury in the fourth quarter, and did not make the trip to Miami with the team to undergo further testing. His long-term status is still unknown.
