Check out the box score from last night’s 100-86 Nets loss at the hand of the New York Knicks here.
Some quick reactions:
- Tyson Chandler and Carmelo Anthony absolutely destroyed the Nets. Nearly everything the Knicks got came from their spacing (which got Carmelo & their shooters the looks they desired) and the pick-and-roll with Chandler, who had one of those NBA Jam nights where I half-expected him to catch a lob 35 feet in the air and do three somersaults before setting the nylon on fire. Their shooting percentages and offensive ratings reflect that.
- After the Utah Jazz game Tuesday night, Brook Lopez said he enjoys matching up with Chandler because it’s a good challenge for him. Challenge indeed. Lopez had a couple of nice looks offensively, but when the Knicks had the ball Chandler tore him apart. Look at the differences in their offensive efficiency and you’ll see what I mean.
- Tornike Shengelia, Tyshawn Taylor, Mirza Teletovic, and MarShon Brooks are the Bench Bench Mob, each playing the last 2:04 of garbage time.
