Fighting back spasms, Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Garnett will sit out for the third straight game, the team announced today.
Garnett first missed the last game of the team’s six-game circus road trip on Saturday against the Milwaukee Bucks, and was listed as a game-time decision before being ruled out Monday against the Chicago Bulls. The Nets won both games.
Though coach Jason Kidd hasn’t officially announced who will start in Garnett’s place, Mason Plumlee has started the last two games in Garnett’s absence, playing 11 and 22 minutes, respectively.
In his 49 games (all starts) this season, Garnett has averaged 6.7 points and 6.7 rebounds in 21 minutes per game.
