Even after stretching everyone’s minutes in Friday night’s double-overtime thriller over the Miami Heat, the Nets only make one change against the Toronto Raptors tonight.
Kevin Garnett was listed as a game-time decision, and the Nets officially ruled him out about 90 minutes before the game. Mason Plumlee will start in his place. The rookie center hasn’t played more than 55 seconds in a game since January 2nd, and will make his first career start.
Everyone else expected to play is good to go, Jason Kidd told reporters in Toronto before Saturday night’s game against the Toronto Raptors. Garnett played a season-high 36 minutes Friday night, and his availability depends on how he feels.
Shaun Livingston played a career-high 51 minutes, Joe Johnson 46, and Paul Pierce 44, but none will get the day off. After tonight’s game, the Nets play just once in eight days, against the Atlanta Hawks in London. Deron Williams was already ruled out and will not play.
