Joe Johnson will sit today against the Memphis Grizzlies as he nurses his sore heel, the Brooklyn Nets announced today. This is Johnson’s second consecutive missed game after playing in all 55 contests prior.
Johnson was originally listed as questionable before the Nets ruled him out this morning. In Friday night’s 106-96 loss to the Houston Rockets, backup point guard C.J. Watson started in his place, notching 17 points, 5 assists, and 4 rebounds in 40 minutes.
The Nets also announced that backup guard Jerry Stackhouse is out for rest. Stackhouse has not played since January 26th.
