The NBA fined Nets head coach Jason Kidd $25,000 for comments he made criticizing the officiating in Game 5 of the NBA playoffs, the league announced today.
Kidd said on a conference call with reporters that it was “mind-boggling” how few calls Joe Johnson got, and called out referee Tom Washington for a missed call on DeMar DeRozan in the last play of the game.
It is the second fine Kidd has incurred in his inaugural coaching season. Relive the magic of the first one here.
Kidd was not suspended and will coach Game 6.
