With Game 6 looming in Chicago, some incredibly important injury news has broken for the Chicago Bulls. Derrick Rose has been officially “ruled out” (obviously). Kirk Hinrich, still ailing from an injury sustained in the Game 4 Triple OT thriller, is out as well.
In addition, Luol Deng, Taj Gibson, and Nate Robinson are all battling illness, and are all game-time decisions. This news comes after Nets center Andray Blatche said after Wednesday’s practice that he’s still hurting and hovering around 90%. Nets guard Johnson also admitted that he wouldn’t be playing if it were the regular season due to a lingering heel injury. Both are expected to play tonight.
If both Hinrich and Robinson are out, Marquis Teague may get significant minutes as the Bulls’ fourth-string point guard. Deng and Gibson will likely both take the floor tonight for the Bulls, but the injury report shows that the long, brutal games have taken a toll on everybody.
Game 6 tips off tonight at 8 P.M. EST at United Center in Chicago.
Hinrich out. Deng, Gibson still sick. Didn’t do shootaround. Gametime decisions. #Bulls
