Mason Plumlee’s development has been one of the bright spots in Brooklyn this season. He plays well within his limitations, which are as follows: he can run, he can jump, he can dunk, and he can listen. He hasn’t scored outside of the paint all season, doesn’t try to force bad shots, and has been lauded for being coachable by the team.
Plumlee’s thrown down an impressive array of dunks this season, but this may be his best: a one-handed lefty slam over Kris Humphries to give him 14 points in the first half. Watch the YES-mo replay: Humphries actually catches Plumlee in the face with an arm as he’s throwing it down. Good body control and a nice off-hand dunk by the rookie.
