The Miami Heat will be without Dwyane Wade for the seventh straight game as he nurses a sore hamstring, the team announced today. “He was very close to playing tonight, but we’re not going to play him,” Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said before the game, according to the team’s official Twitter account.
The Heat will also be without Udonis Haslem, who’s recently started games for them at power forward. Haslem is fighting a stomach virus.
As expected, Kevin Garnett will sit out the first half of the team’s back-to-back games in Florida to rest. The team expects him to play Wednesday against the Orlando Magic. Garnett returned to the Nets starting lineup Saturday night after missing 19 games with back spasms, shooting 5-6 from the field and pulling down four rebounds in a 105-101 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers.
