After suffering a quad contusion in the third quarter, Brooklyn Nets point guard Deron Williams was non-committal about his status for Sunday night’s game against the Indiana Pacers.
“I don’t know,” Williams said. “I’ll have to see what it feels like when I wake up tomorrow. Hopefully I can go. I’m going to get a lot of treatment on it tomorrow, and hopefully I’ll be ready.”
Williams injured his thigh early in the third quarter tonight against the Phoenix Suns, colliding with Goran Dragic’s knee on a drive. Williams remained in the game for a few minutes before getting taken out and walking to the locker room. He was listed as questionable, but later returned, without much pep in his step.
“I could barely run,” Williams laughed. “It definitely affected me. I had one good burst, and it was a wrap.”
