Brooklyn Nets guard Deron Williams has been ruled out for at least two more games after receiving treatment on his ankle, the team announced today.
The decision rules Williams out for the team’s nickname jersey game Friday against the Miami Heat, as well as the team’s game in Toronto Saturday.
Williams underwent platelet-rich plasma therapy treatment and cortisone shots on both ankles on Tuesday, January 7th, and was fitted for a walking boot. According to reporters, Williams was not wearing the walking boot at the team’s practice today.
After the Raptors game on the 11th, the Nets travel to London, playing just one game in eight days against the Atlanta Hawks at London’s 02 Arena. It’s not clear if Williams will make the trip with the team.
