That shot chart above details the last 19 shot attempts for Deron Williams, since his last made field goal in the first quarter of Brooklyn’s 110-99 win over the New York Knicks. Since that time, he’s missed 19 straight shots, inside and out. It’s been a rough stretch for Williams, who had played well in two games after returning from a rib injury before putting up three rough shooting nights.
The Nets have just one game remaining on their schedule before the All-Star Break, which coincides with the NBA trade deadline. The team has made it clear that they’re willing to make trades, and entertained an offer for Williams earlier this year from the Sacramento Kings that was nixed when the Nets refused to include Mason Plumlee in any deal. With the Nets looking to shed salary, the last game in a Nets uniform for some of their biggest names — like Williams — may loom Tuesday night.
