The good news for the struggling Nets is that Deron Williams says his injured wrist is starting to feel better, and that he’s eyeing a return to action tomorrow night against the hated Knicks (who finally beat a team last night – pop some champagne!):
Williams said his strained right wrist is feeling “really good right now,” but knows as soon as it gets hit that could change. He said he wishes he would have sat out earlier – as in when he was with the Jazz.
“It probably would have been good now,” Williams said. “But I was in Utah, we thought we were making a playoff push. If I would have known they were going to trade me, I would have just sat out.”
Obviously I don’t want to see DWill rush himself back for a game that mathematically means nothing, but if you thought the Nets were tough to watch with Devin Harris and Derrick Favors early this year, it’s been downright depressing tuning in since DWill was shut down.
