The series switched to South Beach, but the results stayed the same. Paul Pierce led all scorers with 29 points, including 17 in the third quarter, and the Brooklyn bench outscored Miami’s bench 36-13 thanks in large part to Mirza Teletovic’s 17 points.

Deron Williams hit a big shot to give the Nets the lead in the final minute, but also missed a clinching shot later in the final minute. Williams was 2-8 from the field for the game for six points and eight assists. Shaun Livingston once again showed his versatility defending the Heat up and down the court, including deflecting an inbounds pass to seal the game with 3.5 seconds left and containing LeBron James to a modest 19 points on 6-13 shooting.

The Nets were without Andrei Kirilenko (ankle) and Kevin Garnett, who missed his seventh of 19 straight games with a back injury.
