Brook Lopez went through non-contact parts of practice today with the team and is pain-free, but will sit out again Sunday vs. the Milwaukee Bucks, the Brooklyn Nets announced today. Lopez has been listed as day-to-day since incurring the injury, classified a mild right foot sprain, on November 28th against the Boston Celtics.
The fact that Lopez is pain-free is encouraging, and the Nets would certainly like him fully healthy by Tuesday when they face the Manhattan/New York Knicks again, so resting him tomorrow doesn’t come as a surprise.
Andray Blatche will start in his place tomorrow night.
