The Nets started and ended the fourth quarter with none of their starters in the game, so if you didn’t watch this one, you probably have some idea of where it was going.
After a decent first quarter, the Nets allowed the Hawks’ quickness to take advantage of some laziness and sloppiness, forcing Nets turnovers and getting six three-pointers, four from DeMarre Carroll, en route to a 36-13 quarter that left the Nets down 52-31. They didn’t do themselves any favors in the third, and no starter played in the last 14:49.
The most notable moment came late in the fourth quarter, when fans began throwing small light-up plastic balls they removed from the Thunderstix from the upper rafters down below.

The stats: 20 PTS, 8-17 FG, 7 REB
Poured in points but struggled with his defensive assignments and finishing through contact (which he got a lot of).
