Brooklyn Nets swingman Alan Anderson will miss his third straight game tonight against the Atlanta Hawks after spraining his left ankle in the third quarter against the Toronto Raptors Friday night.
Anderson had been a key “fifth wheel” for the Nets off the bench prior to the injury. Since the All-Star Break, the team had outscored opponents by 3.4 points per 100 possessions with Anderson on the floor in[note]The small sample size of…[/note] 535 minutes. They’re the opposite with him off the floor, as the team has been outscored by 3.3 points per 100 possessions when he’s on the bench.
Anderson has fit in best alongside the starters, and in his continued absence, it’s on rookies Markel Brown (the team’s starting shooting guard) and Bojan Bogdanovic to keep stepping up.
