I’ve already detailed much of why switching Alan Anderson into the starting lineup was a smart move by Kidd, so I won’t repeat myself here about what he can do on offense.
But the one thing that made Livingston so deadly in the starting lineup was his ability to wreak havoc defensively as well as create shots with his short jumper. Anderson plays a different offensive role, since the Nets need him to space the floor. But he has to bring the same defensive intensity, showing hard to force DeRozan away from the basket and into tough shots throughout.
