Nets forward Markieff Morris was listed as out on Monday for the Nets’ third game of the year and their first on the road. The team listed his absence as out for “personal reasons.”

Morris hadn’t been on the Nets’ original status update that was provided to the media on Sunday night. The forward is in his first season with Brooklyn and has appeared in both of their games since the opener at Barclays Center on Wednesday.

He has averaged 11 minutes off the bench and three points a game. Morris did appear in 19 minutes in Friday’s win over the Toronto Raptors and shot 1-for-4 from the field that night.

Morris joined Seth Curry and T.J. Warren as the other two players on Brooklyn’s roster that was out for Monday’s game. The other two are working their way back from health issues.

Warren is healthy, but has not been cleared yet to return to the court and Nets coach Steve Nash said last week that Curry still needed a few more practices before he would be ready to play. It was expected that Curry would travel with the team during their two-game road trip to Memphis and Milwaukee.

While speaking during a community event on Saturday, Warren said that he had been progressing as expected. The Nets plan to reassess his status next month.

“I’m just excited to get back out there,” Warren said. “It’s been so long. So definitely exciting to do what I love to do. And I just can’t wait. I could just feel that itch. But (today) we’re here to talk about the community and basketball stuff, that will come.”

The Nets are playing a pair of games on the road before they return to Barclays Center on Thursday to begin playing four straight at home.
