Great all-around game from Pierce. Did a little bit of everything on both ends of the floor.
His burst is back, and though he didn’t dunk directly on anyone tonight, he will at some point this season.
Still having moments of awkwardness, but he’s looking stronger every game. He’s so good at finding those little backdoor spaces for easy baskets, and long enough that he can score at the rim with nearly anyone. He did that in his limited time tonight.
Another quiet night from Garnett, though his defensive presence was felt and his passing out of the high post is still sublime. He’s taking a little time to get on track putting the ball in the basket, but you can’t question his spatial awareness on both ends of the floor.
Looked more like the All-Star point guard tonight than in any of the team’s three previous games. Williams whipped dimes inside and out, had some nice moves attacking the basket, and playing well enough to merit sitting out the entire fourth quarter in the blowout.
Love seeing this type of game from Johnson — spreading the floor on most possessions, occasionally allowed to isolate a bad defender, and taking on the facilitating role with the bench. The Nets found him for multiple wide-open spot-up threes on the weak side. They’ll take it.
One little bonus: he screened Enes Kanter for Brook Lopez a few times. The benefits of having a 240-pound shooting guard.
Dominated the young Jazz frontline throughout and did a great job again protecting the rim. Enes Kanter hit a couple of midrange jumpers on him but those are shots you let the opposing center take. He absolutely abused the paint tonight; all ten of Lopez’s field goals came within five feet of the basket, and the Jazz had no answer.
It was the best of Blatche, it was the worst of Blatche.

Andray Blatche dribbled behind-his-back and hit a step-back fading jumper. Andray Blatche turned the ball over needlessly trying to do too much. Andray Blatche hit the deck to save a loose ball from going out of bounds in a 24-point game. Andray Blatche badly missed a 20-footer that he had no business taking. Andray Blatche isn’t an enigma, he’s a random wavelength, bobbing up and down throughout the game with no regard for rhythm.
Only had three rebounds. Must be a typo by the universe.
