If you’re not in a position to buy the Brooklyn Nets, here’s the next best thing: you can own and run The Brooklyn Game!

We launched The Brooklyn Game in the Fall of 2012 to provide great home-grown coverage of the Nets, then newly arrived in Brooklyn. We’ve had extraordinary writers – first Devin Kharpertian and then by Elizabeth Swinton and Ben Nadeau, plus a large crew of volunteers.

Since we launched, some 2.2 million people have come to the site – for a total of 4.9 million visits and gazillions of YouTube views.

I have never put in much time to making this work as a viable business. So it’s mostly run as a passion project – not just mine but the editors and writers who loved covering the Nets, and the fans who appreciated their analysis.

Alas, the time has come to pass the torch.

This site currently makes very little money (nor have we worked that very hard). Then again also costs almost nothing (as long as its volunteer driven). I suspect that someone more focused on building traffic and revenue could make this a viable business – especially now that the Nets are good! — but honestly I’m not totally sure. At a minimum, The Brooklyn Game can continue as a passionate community – and an incredibly fun project.

So I’m selling the site. I don’t know how much this is worth. But I do think you can have a blast.
