The Struggles Continue: Nets’ 4th Quarter Woes, Part II The Brooklyn Nets face new struggles every game. Just a few days ago, I documented two games where the Nets had victory slip away from them. But now, The Struggles Strike Back (Again.) This past week, in particular, Nets fans have gone through an emotional roller […]

The Reclamation of Anthony Bennett

(AP Photo/George Bridges)

The Reclamation of Anthony Bennett As far as the eye can see, Anthony Bennett was the perfect risk for the Brooklyn Nets to take on this summer — the former no. 1 overall selection in the 2013 NBA Draft had bounced around from team to team and nearly found himself out of the league completely […]

The Brooklyn Nets 2016-2017 Preview: Up From Below “Cause I’ve already suffered, I want you to know God I’m riding on hell’s hot flames, coming up from below.” — Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeroes Last year, the Brooklyn Nets, by any liberal definition of the word, were an absolute trainwreck. Surely, expectations had plummeted after […]

Did the Nets actually improve their bench this offseason?

Greivis Vasquez

Did the Nets actually improve their bench this offseason? Last year was a painful one to endure for fans of the Brooklyn Nets and their 21-win season came without the gift of a high lottery pick. Although they didn’t technically have the worst record in the league, one could make the case that the roster […]

Resolution: Be shrewd and creative

We're quickly approaching the one-year anniversary of Sean Marks' appointment as general manager, but it'd be difficult to consider his tenure anything but a success.

It's come to my attention that many supporters didn't care for his Thaddeus Young-Caris LeVert swap, but it's the type of forward-thinking deal that'll make Marks a staple in Brooklyn for the foreseeable future. Should LeVert pan out, people will forget the year that they could've competed for the eighth seed with Young instead of capturing a blossoming stud.

From here on out, however, Marks will be challenged to unearth another diamond in the rough like Sean Kilpatrick. With ten-day D-League contracts right around the corner, Marks will need to make decisions on Brook Lopez, Spencer Dinwiddie, Yogi Ferrell, and more -- what does the effervescent New Zealander have up his sleeve next?

The Brooklyn Nets will hold a mini-camp for veterans from May 23rd to the 25th, reports Moke Hamilton of Basketball Insiders. Without a first rounder in June’s draft, the Nets will have to build the back-end of their bench through patchwork and low-risk contracts. Of course, the fates of Shane Larkin, Thomas Robinson, and Wayne […]

Marks wowed Nets management with his vision for building in Brooklyn, and this offseason represents Marks’s first big test. Here’s our primer on […]
