Sunday Shootaround: Evans’ stunning story & stats, Nets charity auctions

Posted on: December 9th, 2012 by Devin Kharpertian Comments

Some news and notes from around the Nets:

  • A stunning number in an equally stunning story about Reggie Evans: when Evans plays 20 minutes or more, the Nets are 8-0. When he plays 19 or less, they're 3-7.

  • Deron Williams knows the Nets can play better.

  • Mark Jackson on Barclays Center: "Wow."

  • WhyHunger is auctioning off Nets items for charity, and this is a good one: "Four lower-level tickets to a TBD Brooklyn Nets game at Barclays Center and an autographed Brooklyn Nets team basketball. Your son or daughter will also be given the position as honorary ballboy/ballgirl during pre-game." Three days left to bid.

I’ve been saying/thinking this for a while now: WHY THE HECK IS KRIS HUMPHRIES STARTING?!?

He pulled down 4 rebounds in 22 minutes against GS and let David Lee just eat him alive.

Evans didn’t play much better against Lee either. He had three rebounds. Hump brings more offense than Evans does.
