Shootaround: D-Will’s Struggles, Beat

Some news and notes from around the Brooklyn Nets:

  • In the early goings, the critical focus on the Brooklyn Nets roster lay on Joe Johnson, who had trouble finding his shot despite getting good looks early. As Johnson has begun to fall up to earth, the topic de jour around the Nets has switched to Deron Williams -- and when he will find his touch. Here's Howard Beck and Rod Boone on the subject.

  • More D-Will: Deron Williams has his own beat reporter, as profiled by a beat reporter. You might recall "Deron Williams, from Deron Williams News."

  • A pretty cool video showing how the modular Atlantic Yards residential towers will be built. Very building blocks-y.

  • The Springfield Armor defeated the Los Angeles D-Fenders 98-89 last night at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, improving to 2-1 with the victory. Shawn Taggart led the Armor with 21 points off the bench.
