Report: Nets sign Ryan Boatright to two-year, partially guaranteed deal

The Nets have signed UConn’s Ryan Boatright to a two-year, 1.4 million deal — and 75k of it is guaranteed, according to Eric Pincus of Basketball Insiders. The undrafted rookie from UConn is slated to play for Brooklyn’s Summer League team, but the Nets have obviously seen something worth locking up now.

Interesting enough, Boatright will be the fifth point guard on the roster and the second signed in as many days, following the addition of Shane Larkin yesterday. Rumors have long swirled around a potential Deron Williams or Jarrett Jack departure, but now with five point guards on guaranteed contracts, the franchise must have something up their sleeve.

The Nets kick off the Orlando Summer League tomorrow night at 5PM against the Memphis Grizzlies.
