Nets waive Darius Morris

The Brooklyn Nets requested waivers on backup point guard Darius Morris today. With Deron Williams, Jarrett Jack, and Steve Blake all on the roster, Morris’s non-guaranteed deal became expendable. The Nets could still look to bring Morris back as an emergency backup guard, but waiving him frees up what would have become a guaranteed contract.

Morris averaged 2.2 points and 1.3 assists in 7.9 minutes per game over 38 games with the Nets.
