1) The Circumstances
Though the 76ers are a horrid basketball team — 17-59 with a 26-game losing streak earlier this season — the Nets have their own issues to deal with tonight.
For one, even though the Nets have won 15 straight games at home, we often forget how bad they’ve been on the road this season. They’re 14-23 away from Barclays Center, which would rank second-worst among all NBA playoff teams, behind the free-falling Atlanta Hawks.
The other issue is that it’s a back-to-back: the Nets are 5-12 on back-to-backs this season, compared with 36-22 when they have at least one day of rest.
